Alternative Tools

Traditional metrics do not paint the whole picture of the impact, reach or engagement with your published research. To help paint a more complete picture, you may like to use alternative metrics or altmetrics. Altmetrics can be from social media mentions, blog posts, news stories in mainstream media, policy and patent citations, online reference managers, post-publication peer-review platforms, research highlights from Faculty Opinions, Wikipedia, multimedia and other online platforms (such as YouTube), Open Syllabus Project for books and article views and downloads.
