Annual Review of Public Health
The Annual Review of Public Health, in publication since 1980, covers significant developments in the field of public health, including key developments and issues in epidemiology and biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, social environment and behavior, health services, and public health practice and policy.
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health
The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health is concerned with public health issues. The research reported includes formal epidemiological inquiries into the correlates and causes of diseases and health-related behaviour, analyses of public policy affecting health and disease, and detailed studies of the cultures and social structures within which health and illness exist. The Journal is multidisciplinary and aims to publish methodologically sound research from any of the academic disciplines that constitute public health.
BMC Public Health
BMC Public Health is an open access journal publishing original peer-reviewed research articles in the epidemiology of disease and the understanding of all aspects of public health. The journal has a special focus on the social determinants of health, the environmental, behavioral, and occupational correlates of health and disease, and the impact of health policies, practices and interventions on the community.
Globalization and Health
Globalization and Health is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that provides an international forum for high quality original research, knowledge sharing and debate on the topic of globalization and its effects on health, both positive and negative. The journal is is affiliated with the London School of Economics (LSE Health). Globalization, namely the intensification of flows of people, goods, and services across borders, has a complex influence on health. The journal publishes material relevant to any aspect of globalization and health from a wide range of social science and health-related disciplines.
Global Public Health
Global Public Health is an essential peer-reviewed journal that energetically engages with key public health issues that have come to the fore in the global environment — mounting inequalities between rich and poor; the globalization of trade; new patterns of travel and migration; epidemics of newly-emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases; the HIV/AIDS pandemic; the increase in chronic illnesses; escalating pressure on public health infrastructures around the world; and the growing range and scale of conflict situations, terrorist threats, environmental pressures, natural and human-made disasters.
Health & Place
The journal is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the study of all aspects of health and health care in which place or location matters. Recent years have seen closer links evolving between medical geography, medical sociology, health policy, public health and epidemiology. The journal reflects these convergences, which emphasise differences in health and health care between places, the experience of health and care in specific places, the development of health care for places, and the methodologies and theories underpinning the study of these issues.
International Journal of Public Health
The International Journal of Public Health publishes scientific articles relevant to global public health, from different countries and cultures, and assembles them into issues that raise awareness and understanding of public health problems and solutions. The Journal welcomes submissions of original research, critical and relevant reviews, methodological papers and manuscripts that emphasize theoretical content. IJPH sometimes publishes commentaries and opinions. Special issues highlight key areas of current research. Preventing Chronic Disease
Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) is a peer-reviewed electronic journal established to provide a forum for public health researchers and practitioners to share study results and practical experience. The journal is published by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The mission of the journal is to address the interface between applied prevention research and public health practice in chronic disease prevention. PCD focuses on preventing diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and stroke, which are among the leading causes of death and disability in the United States.
Prevention Science
Prevention Science serves as an interdisciplinary forum designed to disseminate new developments in the theory, research and practice of prevention. Prevention sciences encompassing etiology, epidemiology and intervention are represented through peer-reviewed original research articles on a variety of health and social problems, including but not limited to substance abuse, mental health, HIV/AIDS, violence, accidents, teenage pregnancy, suicide, delinquency, STD, obesity, diet/nutrition, exercise, and chronic illness. American Journal of Epidemiology
The American Journal of Epidemiology is the premier epidemiological journal devoted to the publication of empirical research findings, methodological developments in the field of epidemiological research, and opinion pieces. Clinical Epidemiology
Clinical Epidemiology is an international, peer reviewed, open access journal. Clinical Epidemiology focuses on the application of epidemiological principles and questions relating to patients and clinical care in terms of prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.
Epidemiologic reviews
Epidemiologic Reviews is a leading review journal in public health. Published once a year, issues collect review articles on a particular subject. Recent issues have focused on prostate cancer, cohort study, vaccines, genetic epidemiology, and injury prevention.

European Journal of Epidemiology

International Journal of Epidemiology

Population Health Metrics
Population Health Metrics is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal addressing all aspects of measurement of the health of populations. Population Health Metrics will address issues relating to concepts, methods, ethics applications and results in the measurement of the health of populations. This will include areas of health state measurement and valuation, summary measures of level of population health, and inequality in population health, descriptive epidemiology at the population level, burden of disease and injury analysis, disease and risk factor modelling for populations, and comparative assessment of risks to health at population level. Health Economics
This Journal publishes articles on all aspects of health economics: theoretical contributions, empirical studies and analyses of health policy from the economic perspective. Its scope includes the determinants of health and its definition and valuation, as well as the demand for and supply of health care; planning and market mechanisms; micro-economic evaluation of individual procedures and treatments; and evaluation of the performance of health care systems. Contributions should typically be original and innovative. As a rule, the Journal does not include routine applications of cost-effectiveness analysis, discrete choice experiments and costing analyses.
Health Policy
Health Policy is intended to be a vehicle for the exploration and discussion of health policy issues and is aimed in particular at enhancing communication between health policy researchers, legislators, decision-makers, and professionals concerned with developing, implementing, and analysing health policy. The journal encourages the submission of original, empirically based, comparative and/or global studies. To achieve the journal objectives, authors are encouraged to write in a non-technical style, which is understandable to health policy practitioners and specialists from other disciplines.

Health Policy and Planning blends such individual specialities as epidemiology, health and development economics, management and social policy, planning and social anthropology into a lively academic mix that constantly stimulates and keeps readers abreast of international health care, focusing on issues of particular relevance to low and middle income countries.

Health Services Research (HSR) provides those engaged in research, public policy formulation, and health services management with the latest findings, methods, and thinking on important policy and practice issues. An outlet for the publication of the latest and best research on financing, organization, delivery, and outcomes of health services, HSR allows practitioners and students alike to exchange ideas that will help to improve the health of individuals and communities.
Journal of Health Economics
This journal seeks articles related to the economics of health and medical care. Its scope will include the following topics: •production of health and health services; •demand and utilization of health services; •financing of health services; •measurement of health; •behavioral models of demanders, suppliers and other health care agencies; •manpower planning and forecasting; •the prevention of sickness; •cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analyses and issues of budgeting; •efficiency and distributional aspects of health policy; and such other topics as the Editors may deem appropriate. Applications to problems in both developed and less-developed countries are welcomed.
Medical Care Research and Review
Medical Care Research and Review provides essential information about the field of health services to researchers, policy makers, managers, and practitioners. MCR&R publishes peer-reviewed articles synthesizing empirical and theoretical research on health services, examining such issues as organization, financing, health care reform, quality of care, and patient-provider relationships. The journal seeks three kinds of manuscripts: review articles that synthesize previous research in several disciplines and therewith provide guidance to others conducting empirical research as well as to policy makers, managers, and/or practitioners; methodologically rigorous empirical research that provides a significant contribution to previous knowledge.
Value in Health
Value in Health is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal reporting on evaluations of medical technologies including pharmaceuticals, biologics, devices, procedures, and other health care interventions. It provides a scientific forum for communicating health economics and outcomes research methods and findings, furthering ISPOR"s vision that "society allocate scarce health care resources wisely, fairly, and efficiently." It is also a sounding board for the discussion of health policy issues related to health economics and outcomes studies associated with all medical technologies.

Health Education & Behavior is the official publication of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE). The journal publishes authoritative and practical information on critical health issues for a broad range of professionals interested in understanding factors associated with health behavior and health status, and strategies to improve social and behavioral health. The journal is interested in articles directed toward researchers and/or practitioners in health behavior and health education. Health Promotion International responds to the move for a new public health throughout the world and supports the development of action outlined in the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion. Health Promotion Journal of Australia
The purpose of the Health Promotion Journal of Australia is to facilitate communication between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers involved in health promotion activities. Preference for publication is given to practical examples of policies, theories, strategies and programs which utilise educational, organisational, economic and/or environmental approaches to health promotion. The journal also publishes brief reports discussing programs, professional viewpoints, and guidelines for practice or evaluation methodology. The journal features articles, brief reports, editorials, perspectives, "of interest", viewpoints, book reviews and letters.

Health Promotion Practice (HPP) publishes authoritative articles devoted to the practical application of health promotion and education.
