Citing countries

Scopus

  1. Login to Scopus
  2. Select the Authors tab and type the name of the researcher into the search boxes, then select the author from the results list on the following page. 
  3. Scroll down and select the Cited by N documents tab, then select 'View list in search results format' on the right-hand side.
  4. On the next page, select 'Analyze search results' at the top of the page. 
  5. Scroll down to see the Documents by country/territory. Select the tile and you can export the image or download the results to a CSV file for further analysis. 

Web of Science

  1. Login to Web of Science
  2. Select the 'Researcher' tab and type the name of the researcher into the search boxes.
  3. Select them from the results list.
  4. Scroll down to see the number of Citing Articles and click on the number.
  5. Scroll down to view the Countries/Regions (left-hand menu) and then select See all>
  6. Export the results to Excel for further analysis.
