Books can be published in print or digital format.

Books that are published digitally are called ebooks and can be found through Quick Find or the Library classic catalogue

How to place a hold on an item

  1. Log into your library record via My loans and holds.
  2. Search for the item you wish to request.
  3. Check there is not a copy in the library at your branch library.
  4. Click the Place a hold on this item button at the top of the screen.
  5. Select your desired pickup location from the drop down menu. Only external students can select the "External student ONLY, via Post" option.
  6. Click "Submit Request".
  7. The first available copy will be processed for you. You will receive an email notification when the item is is ready to collect.

How to find an item in the library

A call number is used to locate an item within the library. All parts of a call number, including spaces and slashes, must be recorded if you are to find the item on the shelf.
