Public Libraries

On this page, you'll find links to public libraries that you can join to access high-quality resources for research. You can also use their resources for learning new skills, as well as for recreation and relaxation. If you have a school library, you can use these libraries in addition to your school library.

The libraries listed below provide access to a wide range of databases and resources covering a variety of topics and formats both online and physically. This can include journal articles, print and online books, news media, film & TV, online training courses, and local ephemera. They cover the following Australian Curriculum discipline areas:

  • English (including Literature)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Languages
  • Science
  • Technologies
  • The Arts

If you are using a library's online resources, see the Searching the Web page for more information on how to research online easy and efficient.

Remember, all libraries are staffed by librarians who are there to help you! If you're not sure how to use the library or get started using their collections, you can either speak with them in person or reach out online on chat or by email. Check the library's website for more information on how to contact them.
