Curriculum Collection and PEx

The QUT Library Curriculum Collection (level 4) has more than 18,000 classroom items (physical and online) you can borrow for your Professional Experience and lesson planning including:

• School textbooks
• Early childhood, primary or secondary materials
• Books - print books, eBooks, audiobooks, picture books, big books, graphic novels
• Fiction or nonfiction
• Puppets, kits, puzzles, games, videos, musical instruments

Resourcing your teaching

Think about your teaching requirements in terms of:

• Format - books (big books, print books, eBooks, audiobooks), kits, videos, realia (puppets, games, puzzles)
• Target audience - early childhood, primary, secondary
• Type of material - fiction, nonfiction, picture books, children's stories, graphic novels and more
• School textbooks in all key learning areas
• Online or physical

The physical Curriculum Collection is located at the very back of Level 4 in the Library, right hand side.

Story Box Library is a website created for children to view stories by local authors and illustrators, being read aloud by fantastic, predominantly Australian and New Zealand, storytellers. The storytellers are often the authors themselves or familiar or well-known entertainers.  This database also suggests associated activities, captions and Auslan interpretations.   Search for videos in the classroom & curriculum resources search box.

All students are able to join other university libraries as reciprocal members. Especially useful for students outside of Brisbane.
