VRES Requirements

The Vacation Research Experience Scheme (VRES) allows students the opportunity to participate in a research project for approximately 6-10 weeks.

This opportunity is particularly valuable if you're interested in pursuing a research degree.

The 2023-2024 VRES program is now closed. 

Information on requirement and expectations for the 2024-2025 will be updated in June 2024. 

VRES 2024-2025 

If you are considering applying for the next program, you must:

• be currently enrolled in either:
  • an undergraduate degree and have completed at least 96 credit points of study (students graduating in December 2023/January 2024 are still eligible)
  • one of the following postgraduate coursework degrees: PY09, OP85, HL53, DE80 or DE83 (other postgraduate coursework students are ineligible)
• meet your faculty's GPA requirements. In the Faculty of Business and Law this is a GPA of 5.5 or above.
