GenAI is opening new avenues for innovation and exploration, but there are benefits and risks with using GenAI for research. QUTs position on AI in research is aligned with the principles of the Australian Code for the responsible conduct of research and documented in the QUT code for responsible conduct of research.
When using GenAI, it is important to think critically about the content created and the data used to generate that content. remembering it is not always known. There may be additional considerations such as university, publisher or funder requirements around the acknowledgement and use of AI in your research, so make sure you fully understand your obligations.
