Add more words to focus search, make it more specific and link with AND
“consumer behaviour” AND (scarcity OR shortage OR deficit )

Use synonyms (alternative words for concept) and link with OR
E.g. scarcity OR shortage OR deficit
E.g. “consumer behaviour” OR “purchase behaviour” or “behavioural research” OR emotion 

Use “phrase searching” to keep phrases and terms together
