Article quality checklist

Checklist for Quality

  1. Check  the credentials of the author - they should be a researcher or academic affiliated to a university or institution
  2. Resource should be written in the last 5 years
  3. There should be a reference list - is this based on scholarly research or anecdotal evidence?
  4. Is it peer-reviewed (see Google Scholar or from a QUT database)?
  5. Is it a report?  Is it from a website address with .edu or .gov? 
  6. Who and where is it published?
  7. Is it unbiased & balanced?
  8. What is the purposed of the article? Is it to benefit a business or organisation?
