"Peer reviewed" means that:

  • The article is written by a qualified expert - usually an academic
  • An editor and one or more subject specialists review the article before it is published
  • The information presented is well-researched and accurate
  • The information contributes to knowledge in a field, it does not just repeat other information
  • Mainly refers to journal articles
