Article quality checklist

Checklist for Quality

  1. Check  the credentials of the author - they should be a researcher or academic affiliated to a university or institution
  2. Resource should be written in the last 5 years
  3. There should be a reference list - is this based on scholarly research or anecdotal evidence?
  4. Is it peer reviewed (see Google Scholar) or from QUT database?
  5. Is it a report?  Is it from a .edu or .gov website? 
  6. By whom and where is it published?
  7. Is it unbiased & balanced?
  8. What is the purpose of the article? Does it benefit a business or an organisation?
