Article quality checklist

Checklist for Quality

Check the credentials of the author - they should be a researcher or academic affiliated to a university or institution
Resource should be written in the last 5 years
There should be a reference list - is this based on scholarly research or anecdotal evidence?
Is it peer-reviewed (see Google Scholar or from a QUT database)?
Is it a report? Is it from a website address with .edu or .gov?
Who and where is it published?
Is it unbiased & balanced?
What is the purposed of the article? Is it to benefit a business or organisation?
