    Librarian Consultation Requests

    Students seeking assistance should (in the first instance) avail themselves of QUT’s
    Ask a Librarian service.

    Students can readily obtain advice and guidance on library research, information and study skills, etc. by a number of means:

    • In person at the V Block Library Learning and Research desk (level 3);
    • By telephone (07) 3138 2083 (during library opening hours);
    • Submitting a question to AskQUT (online);
    • Chat online between 10:00 – 18:00, Monday - Friday (during semester).

    I do consult (by appointment) with academics, researchers and students who have advanced, or specialised information needs. Typically this is with PhD and Masters (by research) candidates as well as the occasional final year engineering project student.

    When requesting a consultation appointment, please supply:

    • Your proposed meeting date / time;
    • Student number;
    • QUT unit code e.g., ENB456;
    • Project / assignment topic;
    • Lecturer / project supervisor’s name;
    • Details of information resources you have consulted to date;
    • The nature of the information you seek (but are having trouble locating).
